Environment

Why should I care about the environment?

I know some of you are thinking, " Wait a minute, that question is easy to answer , there are plenty of reasons to care ... " - and you're right , there are plenty of easy answers to this question . I mean , why not to save the environment ?

The problem is that this question does not come from people who already loves organic food , recycling and driving hybrid cars. This question comes from those who do not have the extra money to spend buying organic products , or do not see a great benefit in recycling, or unwilling to stop driving a sports car for a Prius.

Believe it or not , there are still good reasons to worry about the environment - even if you do not consider an environmentalist . Here are 12 simple steps to protect the environment reasons, no matter who you are :

1. Show the world your good side
The impact on the environment today is a big difference in the world for future generations . It is about making an impact right now in many places. It is our responsibility to care for our planet and secure our future wellbeing .

Two . Consider your portfolio
Many people think that going green means investing time and money - and in some cases they are right - but most times not .

I do not think that's so important ? Check out the Beijing Olympics - they had to close their factories and force 50 % of drivers had to stay home every day for weeks and not kill athletes with poor air quality . After all these steps , there are still thousands of complaints .

April . Landfills are disgusting
Have you ever been on a road or a city that is near a large dumpster? Have you smelled that smell? I do not know , but I would do a lot to avoid having to experience that again .

Most of the things that are thrown away went straight to a landfill. Considering the amount of garbage that most individuals believe it is a miracle that we are not swimming in it already. If you do not like this vision of landfill everywhere in the future, you should contribute to environmental care .

5 . Think of the beautiful beaches
Everyone loves a good beach . The warm white sand, clear blue waters and virgin palm trees swaying in the light breeze .

Unfortunately , the beautiful beaches are slowly ceasing to be a reality and more of a memory of the past. Trash is infiltrating even the most remote corners of the world, and if we do not stop many of our current beautiful holiday will disappear.

6. Polar bears are cute
It is not just our beaches and resorts that are deteriorating , but also the beaches and the habitat of many species of animals in the world . Do you really want your children , grandchildren and nephews grow up in a world so different from ours ?
"Mommy, what's a polar bear? "

7. Unnatural causes cancer Things
Not only are natural products are better for the environment, but are also better for your health. If you've heard the news lately , I'm sure you have heard of this new study showing how found the causes of cancer . Yes, that is a blank, and these days seem to be filled with any synthetic product or food .

8. Necessity is the mother of invention
If you are the type of person who appreciates (or obsessed with ) the new technology , then the support for green industry is an easy option . The amount of money, resources , and intelligence becomes challenging environmental problems is prompting a wave of technological advances that we have not seen in a while .

9. Cycling is fun
Some of the easiest activities to do for the environment also happens to be a lot of fun . Things like riding a bike , going for walks , and any other use of your body instead of a device that produces carbon monoxide, can do much to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases .
Many of these activities will also improve your health and give you something to talk about ( you're actually riding a bike to work ? ) .

10. Will not want to extinguan
Well, as far as the human race , probably not going away any time soon - but we are spending our faster than we can replenish resources , and that's bad .

If we continue at the same rate we're going to now finally be left without fossil fuels, treeless, pure and clean water , in conclusion everything else that is not sustainable. In order to maintain our current lifestyle, we are all going to have to start worrying more about the environment .

11. Saving the world , improve your lifestyle
One of the major concerns of many people is that being green will require a huge change in lifestyle . Again, this is true in some cases, but it is not nearly the whole story. You can do a lot for the environment while improving your lifestyle .
For example : Would you rather change a light bulb once a year or once every ten years? If you chose ten you should switch to CFL lighting environment . Oh, and save some money.

12. World Peace
Peace in the world seems like a difficult task , but considering the fact that most of the world's wars have been fought for control of natural resources , it is not too exaggerated. If we reach the point where we are living sustainably and technology provide us with all our needs for resources , things will be very different. There will be fewer wars , less poor and hungry , and we will be creating a lifestyle that can continue indefinitely.

Letter to a techno geek friend

For my Second period exam i wrote a letter to my techno geek friend the has just come up with the idea that robots will substitute humans in every ascpect of our lifes.

Hi friend

Hope that you are fine, in your last mail you wrote about robots. In my opinion I think that robots will never substitute a human, because we have life and they don´t. unless we have a lot of robots in Earth. If this would happen I won’t able to be happy, also think it will be horrible to have a robot mom, would you like it? Even if I disagree with your idea I think that by 2050 we will have found balance I our life and I hope that we will still be alive because if we don’t take care we are going to die.

With love: Laila

BARCELONA

Barcelona is a large town on the north-east coast of Spain. Its unbeatable location means you can fly to Barcelona from most capital cities in less than two hours. If there were only three words to describe Barcelona City they would be Culture, Style and Harmony.

With a population of about two million, Barcelona is full of interesting, artistic and fashionable people. The blending of cultures defines to Barcelona as one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Barcelona has many tourist attractions which are worth visiting. The most famous attraction is La Sagrada Familia, a fantastic temple designed by Antonio Gaudi under construction since 1882. Other attractions are La Pedrera, a beautiful modernist building of Gaudi too, the magic fountain of Montjuic, a light, music and water spectacle, and Miró, Picasso and FC Barcelona museums. There are many activities to do in Barcelona. Walking through the streets of Barcelona let you feel how the new buildings have evolved and integrated with the historic architecture

Most of the main shopping areas are in pedestrianized zones with wide open boulevards. The nightlife in Barcelona is exciting. There are a lot of music and dance clubs and bars opened in the small hours.

Barcelona is a city that has something to offer everyone. This makes it a truly fascinating place to visit and it is said that once you travel to Barcelona it is hard to turn back.

Hi everyone here is my comment about the article "Teacher suspended after giving student a Twitter lesson"  if you want the link is:

http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/12/world/americas/mexico-teacher-twitter/index.html?sr=sharebar_google

In my opinion i think that the teacher shouldn´t have  reacted the way she did but in the other hand the student was mean and she need to face the consequences in first place she shouldn´t have written on twitter bad words. However the teacher could have talked with her parents and the principal

What do you think?

Also here is my opinion about why we should shopping online

Homemade fondant

How to do a homemade fondant

In this entry I am going to explain how to cook, sometimes they say it is easy but you have to be careful. The fondant is sweet and delicious.

You need:

•  16 ounce bag of mini marshmallows
•  2 tablespoons water
•  2 pound bag of powdered sugar
•   1 teaspoon flavoring, such as clear vanilla, peppermint, amaretto, orange essence, a twist of lemon, lavender
• Liquid food coloring
•   Vegetable shortening

First, use shortening because the marshmallows are sticky and we don’t want problems in the kitchen. Rub a lot of shortening on your surface that you are going to use.

Next, put the marshmallows in the microwavable, don´t forget to use a large bowl and pour 2 spoons of water on the top. Check every 30 seconds to monitor their state

Then, pour half of the bag of sugar into the mixture and mix it. The mixture will become rigid.

Kneading and Resting the Dough

Now, it is time to add some color and extract you choose whatever you want, Next to have to knead the dough like for 8 to 10 minutes, then rest the fondant and put it in the refrigerator and cover with plastic.

Rolling the Fondant

First, uncover the plastic and use a greased rolling pin to roll, our goal is to become flat the fondant, it has to exceed the size of our cake. After that lay the fondant over the cake and press it around carefully to the cake. Finally trim the fondant I recommend to use a knife. And Congratulations that’s how you cook a fondant.

.

Did you know that fondant is very expensive but that most of people prefer the homemade fondant? So don´t get scared and try it is a new experience and you can impress your boyfriend, friends or family.

Performer's profile

Hello hope that you are fine, in this entry i´m going to talk about my favorite performer, What is yours?

Katheryn Hudson but better know by Katy Perry was born in 1984 in Santa Barbara California.  She is considered the most sexy woman of 2013, she painted her hair black because she doesn’t like being blond, also is natural she doesn’t have surgeries. After she recorded three deals and did not succeed, she signed in 2007 with Capitol.  The next year she has her first single “Ur so gay”.

Katy Perry is a pop singer that came from a conservative family, since she was little took singing lessons. In an interview she said that Freddy Mercury inspired her in music. Her adventure was to move to LA without money trying to be famous.

After that she success in her 2 albums and now she is on the third one.

I admire her because she wants to leave a legacy but also want in a future to have a family and  to spend more time with her friends. I love how she sings and I hope in a future go to another concert. She had a lot of way in her career.
